Manchester United are ‘confident’ they can secure a deal for Antonio Silva for less than his £84m release clause. The Red Devils are actively seeking an additional central defender following Leny Yoro’s arrival. They also remain ‘determined’ to finalize an agreement for Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Manuel Ugarte. According to O Jogo, United believe they can negotiate a lower fee for Benfica’s Silva.
The Red Devils have yet to make progress in their search for an additional center-back alongside Leny Yoro and are reportedly considering Silva as an alternative to Bayern Munich’s Matthijs de Ligt. United have not advanced in talks with the Bavarians regarding the Dutch defender, who is valued at approximately £42m by the Bundesliga club.
